![]() Abdicate the Throne: Spike passes the Bloodstone Scepter to Ember, as she is more capable of being Dragon Lord than he is and he has no desire to stay in the dragon lands.Abandoned Catchphrase: Attempts to give Spike a catchphrase ("Holy Guacamole!") in "Feeling Pinkie Keen" have mysteriously vanished. But of course, he's still primarily Twilight's friend and aide, ready to help her with anything she may need, be it an academic test, saving Equestria from destruction, or just keeping Twilight's neurotic mind focused on the task at hoof. ![]() The Crystal Empire reveres him as "Spike the Brave and Glorious" for his role in defeating King Sombra, and the leaders of the dragons and the changelings consider him a personal friend. As Twilight's assistant, Spike is her main point of contact with Princess Celestia, able to breathe dragonfire on her letters to magically send them to Canterlot, and then belching out Celestia's response letter a short time later (fortunately, Twilight's outgoing mail arrives at Celestia in a much more dignified manner).Īs the series continues and Spike matures, he gets his own ongoing storylines and arcs, which have resulted in him becoming a famed hero on-par with the Mane Six. He messes up a lot."Īlso, a lot of the problems in this episode were solved in an over convoluted way, which made the episode really irritating to watch.Voiced by: Cathy Weseluck, Cecilia Gómez (Latin American Spanish), Motoko Kumai (Japanese)Ī baby dragon and Twilight Sparkle's "#1 Assistant", before she moved to Ponyville, Spike was her closest companion, the two sharing a relationship that has been an amorphous combination of mother-son, older sister-little brother, and boss-employee. Life just seems so unfair to Spike, I feel bad for him.that is why I am glad episodes like Inspiration Manifestation, Gauntlet of Fire, and Equestria's Games exist.they just give us more character depth to Spike than "He is sometimes greedy. That is possibly the laziest way to end a show ever. Not to mention this episode ends with a big slap in the face, having Spike and these other ponies fix a statue to have Spike sneeze, the statue fall over, and cut to black. He learns not to take advantage of people again, just like in Secret of my excess. That is one reason I really love Equestria's Games Spike is shown to be strong by his morals and extremely useful in stressful situations. Seriously, I feel like Spike learns the same thing numerous times over. ![]() I just don't like when Spike falls into the SAME rut he falls into over and over again. I really like Spike as a character.I really do. I really have nothing else to say.it is sad when the best thing to come out of an episode of ponies is a funny face towards the beginning of the episode. Seriously, this episode really should have been worked out better.there is like.a long sequence of Applejack running through a spa trying to find out the problem to fix it.and it just goes on and on.and Rarity's complaining in this episode is so constant and annoying. There didn't have to be an antagonist at all in this episode.maybe just have Rainbow battering an internal conflict, it would have made for a funnier episode.maybe an episode where Rainbow goes bonkers like Twilight in Lesson Zero! Or just anything but this. ![]() The cringe comedy in that episode is off the hook, btw. Maybe throw in Rainbow Dash trying to impress the Wonderbolts to really absurd degrees like in Newbie Dash. I just feel like this episode could have been handled better with Rainbow Dash having to chose between her own team and the Wonderbolts. Seriously, it just comes off as mean spirited and cruel.even towards one of their own members, Soarin'. ![]() Anyways, this episode lands on this list for one reason.the Wonderbolt's being the antagonists for this episode is so forced and stupid. ![]()
